Kisha Kala - Grade 7 - Photographer - This was my first time taking photography class. I was introduced by my friend Thess Sandi. I was new to this class but I learned what the true meaning of pictures is, a way to express yourself or a way to make people see what you want them to see. My photography teacher Mr. Cohen helped me to see the true meaning and he also said reflection, pattern, texture, depth, perspective and color is very important in your picture. And as you see, I have reflection, texture, perspective and colors. |

Szelag - Age 12 - Painter
- I painted a waterfall with a sunset in the background. I painted this
because it reminds me of my favorite hotel, the Westin, and it also
reminds me of my 7th grade Big Island trip. At the Westin they have
a big circle right when you enter where there are flamingos and many
small waterfalls. On my Big Island trip we got to see many waterfalls.
Waterfalls seem to wash all my troubles away.

Bolo III - Grade 10 - Photographer - I
became interested in photography because it allows you to be creative
with your photos. Photography allows the photographer to express
their political views, make statements, or create awareness of certain
issues and still be able to be artistic. Also, you can share stories
or provide another point of view of a thing, place or person, and thats
why I feel its amazing.

Christine Rendina - Grade 8 - Painter - This is my painting, I chose to paint the picture from an old calendar because the light captured the complimentary colors in the red orange rocks and the green blue water. |
Traci
Ige - Grade 7 - Photographer
- I like this picture because it really brings out the boys joyful
feelings. There is also a lot of color. I liked this class because there
was a good teacher and awesome people to work with.
